It's the simple things

First of all, thank you again to Nick's dad for temporarily installing our old faucet while we made a decision on what we wanted. We were yet again shocked at how expensive things can get and that the faucet cost as much as the sink. We're only doing this once, so we found what we wanted and searched online to get the best deal.

(here's the temporary faucet)

.

It worked well, although it was too small for the new sink. We received the new faucet in the mail on Wednesday and Nick installed it with only one trip to Home Depot for supplies. So far it's great. It's simple and the faucet pulls out instead of having a separate sprayer, since I've never had one of those that worked very well. The water pressure  is good and the spray feature works nice.

I'll have to do some cooking this weekend to put it to the test with a kitchen full of dishes to clean. Throughout this entire project I have gained so much more appreciation for the everyday things in the house.

Loooove the pull-out sprayers! I put one in the kitchen of my last house and now I miss it every time I turn on the kitchen sink.

You're not kidding about faucet prices - we nearly choked when we saw how much a purdy one was going to cost. And then we got it home, and the sprayer leaked like crazy.... so we put the old one back in "temporarily" and it's been there for about 3 months now.

I too love the pull down - after our bad sprayer experience, I'm leaning toward something similar.
