Smooth wall
We got a recommendation for someone to do the taping and mudding of the drywall for a smooth wall finish. He came out today to make a bid and Nick was able to come home during his lunch hour so it worked out perfectly. After looking at some of the drywall he asked us again if we did this ourselves. He said he hadn't seen any other drywall done as nicely by a homeowner before. Nick was very careful because we wern't sure if we would be able to find someone that would agree to do the mudding and taping if we hung it ourselves. He said he'd call back tonight and we're curious to see how expensive it will be to have someone else do the work. Even if it's expensive, it will be worth it because it will be done so quickly and we can limit the dust for a couple of days and be out of the house while they are doing the sanding. Then we can get the fir floors redone and it will be looking so much more complete. We'll keep you posted on what we hear back.
