The 90% completed upstairs bath. We got this far in January of 2006 after Trissa got the tub for Christmas.

The hot water was connected last night & I couldn't wait another night for the cold water so I tried the tub and loved it. Granted it's a shorter tub (4 1/2 feet), but it worked great. Once the tub is heated up it holds the heat well & it has a nice slant on the back so it's very comfortable. I hope now I can just keep some ...

We were ready to move the tub upstairs so it was time to call our friends (again)! Jon and Sean came through (the demolition party and other tasks had not yet scared them away). Nick used a wire brush cup attachment for the grinder to clean up the outside of the tub, and used chemical stripper on the feet. They turned out great!
Then he primed them:
and then put the first coat of paint on, using Rustoleum spray paint:
That soak in the tub is sounding better and better!

And I'm spoiled rotten. The doors were installed the day after Christmas and I love the transformation from having them on sawhorses in the middle of the dining room awaiting another coat of varnish. Thank you to Nick and his dad for spending a day of their vacation installing the doors and hardware- I love them!
